Backflow Testing

Backflow Testing & Certification

If your county requires a backflow test to be performed on your system and a certified annually, call the state-certified technicians at April Showers. This very important test ensures that wastewater isn’t flowing backwards into the general water supply, potentially contaminating public water. April Showers performs this test and the certification yearly for our customers.

How Does Backflow Testing Work?

An inspection of your home or business’s backflow prevention system, sometimes known as RPZ devices, will check several components for operability. This test must be performed by a State Licensed Backflow Certification team. April Showers is that team you can call on to get your yearly certification done.

A thorough inspection of these items is completed to make sure all is in good operating condition. We will also flag, repair or replace any component that is found to be defective or non-compliant.

We will also test the entire system in action to make sure the operation of your backflow is performing as it should. If there are problems found during this test, we will repair or replace the necessary components and re-run our test.

Once the test is complete and everything has passed, you will receive a certificate stating that your system has passed, and it will be good for the next 12 months. Please contact us today to schedule your backflow test.
